📱 How to Delete Your Account (In-App)

    Sign in to PayPing on your mobile device.
  2. 2
    Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
  3. 3
    Review the warning and tap Confirm Account Deletion.

Cannot access the app? You can submit a manual deletion request by writing to support@paypingapp.in from your registered contact. Requests are processed within 48 to 72 hours upon identity verification.

🗑️ Data That Is Deleted

When your account deletion is confirmed, the following data is permanently wiped from our active databases:

  • Account & Profile Information: Full name, profile photo/avatar, bio, and linked UPI IDs.
  • Authentication & Contact Data: Phone-linked authentication credentials, device tokens, and session tokens.
  • Social & Network Associations: Friends lists, contact pairings, and referral associations.
  • Reputation & XP Data: Trust Score history, streak counters, badges, and gamification rewards (where operationally and legally deletable).
  • User-Generated Data: Saved preferences, custom reminder notes, and draft payment pings.

🛡️ Data That Is Retained & Retention Period

In strict compliance with financial regulations, fraud prevention standards, and dispute resolution requirements, certain minimal audit logs are retained:

  • Shared Ledger & Transaction Records: Ledger records involving counter-parties (pings, settlements, confirmations, and dispute history) are retained in anonymized/pseudonymized form so that the counter-party’s ledger remains accurate.
    Retention Period: Up to 180 days for active dispute resolution and financial audit compliance, after which records are irreversibly anonymized or purged.
  • Security & Audit Logs: System access and abuse prevention logs (such as fraud detection telemetry).
    Retention Period: Retained for 90 days before automated log rotation and permanent purge.
  • Legal Obligations: Where required by applicable laws (e.g., Information Technology Act, Prevention of Money Laundering directives, or lawful government requests), relevant data may be retained for the minimum statutory period prescribed by law.
